Weekend Night Out.....

noel & tom are back in town after 3 days and 2 nights' stay in Boracay. ever since they got here, they've been asking where the "happening" place in manila is.... you know, where one can stay until the wee hours of the morning and just enjoy hanging out? we told them that the best place to be is in malate...... however, it comes alive on weekends rather than on weekday nights. since last night was a weekend night, we went to malate and showed noel and tom around.

getting to malate from makati was terribly horrific!!! first of all, it took as a good hour and a half to get from our place to The Pen (about 5 kilometers away!!). traffic was at a standstill most of the time that EDSA was like a big, big parking lot!!! it happened to be the night of the "pyrolympics" at Mall of Asia and load and loads of people (and vehicles) were trying to get to the site!!! from The Pen to Malate, it took us another 2 hours.... so much so that we barely had time to enjoy our dinner at Bistro Remedios before we were asked for our last orders because the place was closing soon!!! as always, the filipino food were so good....tom can't contain himself from praising each dish that we ordered....including his drink..... cold, unsweetened calamansi juice!!! eeeeeew!!! hehehehehe!!! by the way, we had adobong pugo (quail adobo), chicken a la pobre, rellenong bangus (stuffed boneless bangus), crispy tadyang ng baka (crispy beef ribs), and pakbet kapampangan:


from bistro remedios, we walked to orosa st.... stayed for a while outside the bars.... then decided to call it a night.... at about 2:00 am.
