Going Japanese....

today was a special day.... because this is our first day of the year to go out and eat japanese!!! hehehehehe. so far, our favorite japanese restaurant in the city is Isshin at Pasay Road in Makati. the place is cozy... we especially like the tables with dugout in the floor so you sit as if your squatting beside a low japanese table!.... and the food is authentic japanese. how do we know? a lot of japanese nationals eat there!!!

in the traditional "see what i ate" style of my blog.... here are what i had:

for starters, i had miso soup.... as you can see.... it's gone!!! hehehehehehe

then came the kani salad....

then the tuna and salmon sashimis....

then the beef yakiniku.....

then the squid teppanyaki....

then the nata de coco dessert....... oooooops! since i am on a no-carb diet, jon had my dessert in addition to his ice cream!!!

after finishing our meal, we were quite surprised that we were able to eat everything that we ordered.... some kind of a "first" for us!!! so, i guess we're starting the year right. hopefully, no more "takaw-tingin" ordering for us for the rest of the year!!! hehehehehe

oh by the way, one other thing that i like about this restaurant is their "bell". each table is provided with a bell that you ring if you want to get the attention of a waitress. i like this system because even if the restaurant is full and noisy, with just a ring of the bell, you can get their attention!!! maybe i should try this once i get to live in a big house and employ househelps!!!bwahahahaha

(NOTE: This entry i being published w/o the photos. Once our access to the internet gets back to normal, i'll be posting the pics.)

I LOVE japanese food! I would eat everything up without a problem~ I don't think it's a good idea to have a bell at the tables if you have your children with you~ They would just keep ringing the bell! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
