A Sad, Sad Night.....

last night, on our way to Quezon City for our weekly dinner with my family, i received a text message and a call from noel. our UP College of Veterinary Medicine (UPCVM) friend and classmate, Dr. Teresita Hernandez-Sollano, had just passed away and her body lays in wake at a funeral home in Pasay City. since noel and tom are leaving for Boracay early this morning, we decided for us to pick up noel from their hotel and proceed to the funeral home after coming from our dinner.

we arrived at the funeral home at about 11:30 PM.... and some of our other classmates were still there.... Tony Luna, Mary Ann and Darwin Sayoc, Dolly Rodulfo-Dalusong and her husband, Josie Munoz-, and Angel Mateo.

as in any wake, we talked and reminisced about our college life and our present lives individually and collectively. we recalled fond memories of Tess.... and we even met one of her 6 brothers whom she used to say guarded her very strictly that she had to surreptiously escape just to go on dates! we also met her 3 children.... and our hearts go out to them.... hoping that they surmount this test and be made strong by the thought that now their mother is cancer-free and reunited with their father again... in God's hands!

tess, we will miss you very much!!!
