Christmas discounts......
some of the things that we invariably associate with the Christmas season, as well as the end of the year season are sales, gifts, freebies, gift-giving, and discounts. during this season, most stores, if not all, offer money-saving opportunities which may not be available at any other time of the year..... but do you know that it's not only stores who offer these discounts??? hospitals offer them too!!!
oh yeah??? yeah!!!!
no way??? way!!!
hehehehehehe
if you don't believe me, go to the Makati Med and take advantage of their "Buy an MRI, and Get an MRA free!!!..... i did just that this afternoon.... as per advice last week of my cardiologist, Dr. Lapitan, .....as aids in diagnosing the cause of my hypertension.
i was scheduled for an MRI/MRA of the head at the Radiology Department of the Makati Med at 1:30 pm.... we arrived there at 1:00 pm ......filled up some forms..... had a chest x-ray taken.... and waited for close to 1-1/2 hours for me to undergo the MRI/MRA.
the MRI/MRA themselves weren't that uncomfortable..... nor were they painful in any way. all i did was laid down on a solid "bed" with heavy headphones on my ears; pushed inside a not-so-big cave of a machine; stayed motionless for about 30 minutes; while i listen to loud tong-tong-tong, ting-ting-ting, gong-gong, gang-gang, breng-tingdung,breng-tingdung, deg-deg-deg, ....... or something like that.... i guess that's the way the magnets work on my head....
oh by the way, MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging, and MRA stands for magnetic resonance angiogram..... both are diagnostic procedures that allow the parts of the body to be seen (imaged) after being exposed to a strong magnetic field.
i'll get the results of these tests on wednesday....during my next visit to Dr. Lapitan. i hope and pray everything's alright!!!
