Back to Manila

ken & ron are back in town..... this time they're staying at EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.







since most of their bigger luggages were left with us, we went to the hotel tonight to give them back and went out to dinner with ken at the Hula-Hula Restaurant at the nearby Shangri-la Mall. as usual, after dinner ken showed us the pictures he took of their northern Luzon tour.

Chinese Lauriat

today, i was with jon's family to celebrate (in advance) the birthday of his brother-in-law. in contrats to most family celebrations, this celebration was marked by a lauriat at the Summer Palace Chinese restaurant of EDSA Shangri-la.




this was my first time at the Summer Palace, hence the numerous pics.





as always, everyone had a grand time eating, talking, and just plain being with each other company!!!

Tea for Two (or More!)

Before bringing Ken & Ron back to their hotel, we passed by the Manila Intercontinental Hotel to pick up Ron's jacket which he left behind before they left for Cebu two weeks ago.

While Ron was at the front desk, I was able to see the different tea sets currently on display at the lobby of the hotel. Most of the sets were wonderful... i wish we'd be able add some of them to our collection!!!!

Doing Korean

Ken & Ron returned to Manila today from their trip to Cebu, Bohol, and Aklan. Together with Lani and Toto, Ken's niece and nephew, respectively, we had dinner at Kaya Korean Restaurant in Jupiter St., Makati City.

after dinner and before going home, we went up to Ken & Ron's hotel room at the Diamond Hotel to look at the pictures of their travels to the Visayas. as expected, they were fantastic pics.... as only Ken can take!!!
