What a relief.....

have you ever experienced looking for something very important that you know is just there somewhere among your belongings in the house, but can't seem to find it? well, i just did...

two days ago, i received a call from someone informing me that i've been chosen to be one of the candidates for a vacant position in a group whose members are appointed by the President. however, for my papers to be forwarded to the OP, i have to submit my updated NBI and Office of the Ombudsman clearances. The Ombudsman is easy, all i have to do is go to their office and within 3 days i'll get my clearance. The NBI clearance is another matter....unless i find the original of my old one; because with my old clearance, all i have to do is show it in one of their field offices in malls around the city and i can get a new one within 15 minutes. Otherwise, i'll have to go to the NBI office, line up the whole day, and hope that i'll get a new one before the office closes!

i know i have an original NBI clearance somewhere....but i'm not sure where it is among the tons and tons of papers in the house....it's there somewhere....i'm 100% sure....all i have to do is find it.

isn't it uncanny that whenever you're looking for something, you find it in the last place you were looking at? i started looking for my old NBI clearance last night....and this afternoon. after looking at all my bags, folders, envelopes, etc....i finally found it in the last bag i looked at!!!

what a relief....

(however, the one i found was the one dated 1996. i know i had it renewed in 2004, but i hope this will be accepted....after all i haven't changed identities at all!!!....so tomorrow, i'm off to the NBI field office to get an updated clearance....yipee!!!)
