A Very Nasty Sight.....
lately, every morning, on my way to the meatshop, i've been seeing this sight.... which never fails to catch my attention. this is a pig carcass that's been left outside the doors of the shop that sells, among other things, pork meat also. obviously, it's delivered very early in the morning (when the shop is not open yet) and is just left there hanging by the shelves touching the ground. sometimes, flies hover around it.... and who knows? maybe even a stray dog comes once in a while near it!!!
this shop is located about a hundred meters from our shop's location.
i wonder what the shop's customers will think if they see this for themselves????

Holy smokes! That's disgusting! and people actually buy it? I guess the customers aren't aware that it's been sitting outside for hours~ ewl! Is that even legal? I think they need to be shut down!
yeah, very disgusting...and i don't think their customers (at least those who wake up late and still buy from them!)are aware of this.
according to our public health laws, this is not legal. however, as you can see, this happens in plain sight of pedestrians and motorists passing this way, including the police and barangay guards that patrol the area, and yet they're not even issued citations for their practice....which apparently has been going on way before we even put up our shop here.
one interesting comment i heard from one of our butchers who live in the area - before we opened the meatshop, there were usually 3 whole carcasses left outside in the morning; now, as you can see, there's only half a carcass!!! which means that now that people are given the chance to buy from a clean and safe source, people are making the right choices!!!
and they won't regret buying from you. i hope the owner of this meat will have the conscience to stop this practice.
OHMYGOD! disturbing!!!
