The Gift of Life....On the Day of the Dead

Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from Mommy about Doods, their dog in Quezon City. Apparently, she gave birth to three puppies today!!! Yipeeeeeeee!!! So, that's why she was particularly territorial and protective yesterday that she bit a neighbor who came near her while she was eating.

This whelping is quite a surprise for me and for all of us. We didn't even know that she was pregnant!!! Although I noticed last week that she must be pregnant because she gained a little weight and her mammaries are a bit enlarged, I couldn't be too sure because as far as I know she's not been out of the yard... and our yard have two gates you have to go through before you can get to her!!! Oh well, ....maybe ....somehow a neighborhood stud did!!!
