Why BlueWind
BlueWind is a name that has captivated me since the early 80's when i was studying for my master's degree at the university of minessota. it's an american indian name that i always heard over the public radio network (of which i was an avid supporter!)......and which i have taken for myself to describe who and what i am.....i don't know why but every fiber, every cell of my being responds to this name....
to the original guy who possess the name bluewind....i hope you don't mind me taking on the same name...i honor you with this!
speaking of american indians....one of the most memorable and exhilirating experiences i've had is attending a sweat lodge...nah! not in minnesota but right here in my country....a philippine-born US-based healer conducted it here several years ago and i attended it with a group of close friends....at first i found it unbearable but as the ceremony progressed, i found myself being closer to mother earth...literally and figuratively. the heat, the chantings, the smell of herbs rising in steam as they burn in red hot lava rocks transported me to places i've never been before and made me feel feelings i've never felt before. i have never felt closer to my ancestors....and honoring them made me value and honor my own existence!
